Tarapacá region offers a first class hotel infrastructure , and various restaurants and night life places where you can taste a variety of delicious fish and seafood dishes.

The most popular beach is the traditional Cavancha, with white sand, palm trees and a family environment which, together with a lively nightlife make the delight of holidaymakers.

Playa Blanca is situated 13 kilometres from Iquique, and its transparent emerald waters and fine white sand make it ideal for swimming, diving and sports fishing. In Punta Gruesa you can visit the enormous lighthouse as well as practising all kinds of watersports.

The cliffs, the camping sites and the contact with nature are the main features of Lobito beach, situated 22 kilometres from the capital. Other popular beaches are Los Verdes, Patillos, Seremeño and Huaiqueque. For a historical tour of the city, we recommend you to visit the old neighbourhood, where is the passengers´quay, the British railway station and Arturo Prat square with its Clock Tower and Municipal Theatre.
