The San Andres Island has an extension of 26 square kilometers, it's surrounded by reefs and it's the biggest island of this archipelago, located in the Caribbean Sea. The archipelago is considered by the United Nations a World Biosphere Reserve.Tourists come to San Andres attracted by its wonderful landscape and transparent waters, where you can discover the various colors of the sea, the amount of fish, birds and palm tree species, as well as the fine white sands that make up a dreamy place. The most attractive beaches to visit are Cocoplum, Sound Bay, Johnny Cay and Rocky Cay. Johnny Cay is a cay populated by more than 25 different species of fish and birds, which turn San Andres into one of the best beaches of Colombia.

Another fabulous get away is climbing the highest peak of San Andres, La Loma, which is about 120 meters high, from where you can get a panoramic view of The Caribbean, or go to the bay, where the El Cove Port is, where cruise ships are usually stationed, and where you can enjoy incredible sunsets.
The restaurants and bars offer the most exotic food and drinks, plus the dancing areas throughout the coast, because the nightlife extends to the morning hours.
HOW AND WHEN TO GO - WEATHER AND TRANSPORTATION
San Andres can only be accessed by sea or air. By sea, there are numerous ships and cruise ships, many of them from the Cartagena port.By air, many airlines come to the San Andres port from any Colombian city. The flight from Bogota takes about 2 hours.
The weather is warm, with an average temperature of 28 degrees Celsius, with a cool breeze throughout the year.
