In the state of Carabobo, central coast of Venezuela, we find this beautiful heavenly municipality called Puerto Cabello. Besides being a harbour city, it is one of the favouritedestinations for vacationers in these latitudes.

Its sea is calm and intense blue and it has a wide seaboard strip not far from the city. There are wonderful beaches with white and golden sand and inlets and places of a great beauty, owing to the perfect conjunction of sea and high green palm trees. This Venezuelan paradise, with its coast on the Caribbean Sea, also attracts tourists interested in history. We feel transported to ancient times when we see the streets and houses with their original architecture and the fronts dating from colonial period.

Owing to the recent building of the new maritime terminal with the purpose of receiving the most prestigious cruises, this seaside resort began to be a much requested destination by all the shipping agencies.

The more attractive touristic place in town is the beach of Patanemo, a flooded valley with rocky shore. It is 800 meters long and it has a great variety of restaurants where we can taste typical dishes and drinks .It is usual to see the street-sellers offering their craftsmanship.

We can arrive by ship to "Isla Larga";a twenty minutesjourney where we will be able to see very calm and transparent water, and enjoy all the comfort we ask for. It is also preferred by maritime biologists, because of its fabulous corals. As for beaches, we can choose Playa de la Rosa and Ensenada de Yapascua.

At the city, we will find El Fortín de San Felipe y el Fortín Solano, both from the colonial period. It is advisable to visit them and go up to their viewpoints to admire outstanding landscapes of city and village.

There is a municipal airport where flies arrive from Caracas. The average annual temperature is 30º, and the rainy months are from June to October.
