All the beaches in Portugal, either continental or insular, are bathed only by the Atlantic Ocean, therefore there are excellent beaches for surfing, windsurfing and other watersports.
We must highlight the striking Madeira and Las Azores islands, offering endless natural attractions as well as lots of amazing beaches.
On the continental coast, the most famous beach is Algarve, best known as the “Costa Azul” of Portugal due to its amazing rocky formations and blue waters from the Atlantic Ocean.
