PANAMA BEACHES
Panama is perhaps an internationally renowned destination only for its famous canal, but the striking Central American country hides many more tourist attractions, within which its spectacular beaches stand out. Panama also offers the peculiarity of having two distinct types of beaches: the Pacific and Caribbean beaches. The best known of the beaches in Panama is Playa Blanca, just 75 minutes from Panama City and on the Pacific Ocean, it offers an impressive infrastructure of hotels and resorts, luxury and refinement and some of the world's largest swimming pools.
Another notable place is San Blas, an archipelago with more than 370 islands, of which only about 50 are inhabited by Indians (the famous Kuna Indians) that have remained independent of European urbanization and acculturation evident in the rest of Panama, so visiting these islands is also an unbelievable enjoyment of natural beauties, a journey through time to when everything was not invaded by industrialization. Among them, one of the most beautiful is Coco Blanco.
Of course, combine a coastal tour with a visit to the hyperdeveloped Panama City and its canal is also highly recommended. There areas in the capital that seem to transport us to New York, and the canal, one of the greatest engineering works in the world that is a faithful witness of the achievements of mankind in terms of technological development is undoubtedly an attractive itself. If you like large ships, it's an ideal place to watch them go by.
But if your passion are the beaches, Panama has much more to offer, such as the Bocas del Toro Archipelago, the quaint Portobelo City and the stunning island of Contadora, ideal for divers because of the characteristics of its waters. Other beaches you must visit are Coiba, Pearl Islands, Isla Grande and Taboga.
Panama offers some of the best beaches in the Caribbean, ideal to spend your next vacation because of its temperature, crystal clear water and outstanding people.
