Negril is situated in Jamaica, which is the third biggest island in the Caribbean. With high peaks like the Blue Mountains (about 200 metres high), waterfalls, crystal water and white sand beaches, Negril is a delight for tourists from all over the world.

One of Negril´s attractions is that it keeps the taste of the wild: nudism is a common practice on the beaches of Bloody Bay.

The population in Jamaica belong to different race groups, and although the majority have African origin, there are also Europeans, Arabs and Chinese. In Negril you will find places where you can buy hallucinogenic tea and marijuana, as well as street sellers offering shrimps cooked with the same methods which have been used for more than 400 years.

When and how to go

Jamaica has an International Airport in Montego Bay, which is a busy airport receiving flights from all over the world. There, it is very easy to get a connection flight to Negril beach.

The average temperature in Negril is 27º C, with a minimum variation as seasons change. The hottest months are June, July and August and the coolest month is February. The high season (the most expensive one) is between 15th December and 15th April. If you do not come during the high season, you will have the same good temperatures at lower prices.
