Medina

Medina

Named as one of the most splendid beaches in Venezuela, Playa Medina is a touristic destination which cannot be unnoticed by national and international tourists and is one of the more visited places in high season. Placed in the state of Sucre, this is a practically virgin beach and basically owes its beauty to the matching of the sea and the immense quantity of coconut trees on its sands.

Because of its luxurious vegetation we have there an excellent chance to practice the so named "green tourism". Golden sand, green and not very deep water and an excellent climate are very propitious to enjoy holidays with our family in an environment far from the great noise and movement of the city.

Hotels & Activities

At this tropical paradise, we can find lodging in comfortable huts with all the necessary services, and decorated in a rustic style of a very high level. Food made with fish and seafood is delicious, especially the "Tajali" a kind of fried fish with green salad and toasted bananas.

At the local inns, they organize trips by ship to other zones, which we cannot fail to do, since they are very interesting to watch the great variety of birds that have their nests there.

Its calm and warm water has a greenish shade, due to the reflexing of its abundant vegetation and it has a propitious inlet to practice diving and thus see the rocky sea bed or the spectacular corals there.

It is very agreeable to arrive to the beach by ship along river Caribe to appreciate the greatness of this paradise detached from the world, in the north of Venezuela.

Weather & Flights

We can arrive only by land from Caracas or by seaway from the city of Carúpano. The average annual temperature is 28º and is remarkable the lack or rain.
