It has a great variety of beaches for all ages and preferences, someof them with mild and calm waters, such as "La Caracola", "Playa Montero" and Pampatar",ideal places for rest and enjoyment with family and children, which are reputed as being among the most familiar beaches in Venezuela. If we are looking for action or the practice of aquatic sports, we can go to beaches with high tides, such as "Playa Caribe" or the popular "Playa el Agua".

We can also enjoy tours to the inside of the region: visit the Church of the Valley or the small fort of Juan Griego, go to the National Park of Laguna de la Restinga, have a good ride along the shore and, as a good ending, have lunch on the same shore of "Macanao". As a natural monument, we can't fail to see the two hills in "La Restinga" called "Las Tetas de María Guevara".
The island is a duty free port; so we have a good opportunity for shopping in fairs or important shopping centers.
