Mar de las Pampas with its coast on the Atlantic Ocean, is a place that has undergone a great transformation in recent years. It used to be an area of dunes and it's now presented with spacious and secluded beaches surrounded by splendid forests and it is also very ready to receive tourism, as most of the best beaches in Argentina. Also known as the "city without haste" as it is a center of peace surrounded by nature, be prepared to enjoy its harmony and tranquility.
It is very close to Villa Gesell, less than ten kilometers away. Its landscape consists of beaches, forests with a variety of trees such as eucalyptus, cypress, pines, acacias, etc. and its urban part features apartment buildings consisting of low-rise, beautiful villas and cottages built mostly out of wood and stone.

The most practiced water sports include windsurfing, wakeboarding and water skiing.
Visiting the Querandí is a very attractive activity. Excursions in 4x4 vehicles are well organized.
Also strolling through the mall or shopping is very attractive because there's always outdoor shows to stop and watch.
HOW AND WHEN TO GO - WEATHER AND TRANSPORTATION
To arrive at Mar de las Pampas can be done by air from Buenos Aires to the Aerodrome Villa Gesell which is very near Mar de las Pampas. And overland, trains leave the Argentinian capital to nearby places where there are buses to connect.
The temperature reaches in the summer 32 degrees Celsius, in the wintertime it's very cool, from 3 to 17 degrees, so it is advisable to go in the December to March months.
