Its geographical peculiarity comes from its 4830 kilometre-long coastal line, the great number of paradise islands it has, its clear waters and its nearness to the Equator line, which means Malaysia is home to some of the best beaches in the world.
But Malaysia offers other tourist attractions besides its beaches. Its capital city, Kuala Lumpur, is a cosmopolitan city boasting the striking architectural development of the last decades, thanks to the vigorous Malaysian economy that has transformed Malaysia into one of the so-called “Asian tigers”. In Kuala Lumpur, we can find the famous Petronas Twin Towers, which were the tallest building in the world for a long time, only surpassed by the Burj Dubai, in Dubai. Nevertheless, the Petronas Towers are still the highest twin towers in the world.
However, what makes Malaysia really famous in the international tourist context is their beaches. For example, Langkawi is one of the many beautiful islands in Malaysia and probably the most famous, thanks to its amazing beaches. Another excellent option is Tioman Island, a tiny, cozy island surrounded by coral reefs.
Visiting Malaysia also means meeting a mixture of cultures, a vigorous economy and of course, some of the best beaches in Asia.
