To move around the island, you can walk or hire a bicycle, contributing in this way to the peace and quiet of the island, where you will never hear upsetting mechanical noises.

Climbing up to the highest point of the island, Eagle´s Nest Mountain,which is 300 metres above sea level and overlooks the beauty of the island, gives you an excellent opportunity to make a halt in the enjoyment of the coasts of La Digue.
You can also explore the dense jungle in Veuve Natural Reserve where you will be able to find natural swimming pools and outstandingly lush vegetation. Or you can see the port of La Passe in the west of La Digue and watch boat building activities or visit a vanilla plantation nearby. If you are fond of history, see the impressive Church of Our Lady of the Assumption with its remarkable stone Calvary at the entrance.

You can get to La Digue by ferry from Praslin or Mahé, or you can travel by helicopter, which is as expensive as enjoyable.
