EGYPT
HURGHADA BEACHES
EGYPT BEST

Situated to the south of the Suez Canal, six- hour- drive from Cairo, it is one of the best prepared beaches in Egypt to receive tourists, with its coasts on the Red Sea and its incredible architectural infrastructure. It is a relatively modern city, which began to be built in the last century, specially in the last thirty years. Although it has lost the picturesque character of other fishing villages, it has gained better technology for tourism.
It has many kilometres of beaches with excellent waters where watersports are favourite attractions, specially diving. Many hotels overlook these beaches offering tourists total privacy and great comfort.
Sunsets in Hurghada are marvellous, and you can marvel at the changing reds, yellows and oranges framed by the mountains and the sea which transform the appearance of the landscape until it is dark.
WHERE TO STAY AND WHAT TO DO
You will easily find accommodation, since the city is ready to offer tourists the best facilities , excellent hotels with private beaches, apartments, hostels, etc.
There are lots of places to practise diving and enjoy the enormous reefs. The nearest and most popular one is Fanadir, and you also have Abu Ramada, with amazing corals, fish and gorgonians.
Something different for the tourist is visiting the desert, where you can go in comfortable jeeps specially prepared for that.
There are also many restaurants to savour delicious sea delicacies which tempt tourists, and small bars where you can have drinks and nibbles.
WHEN AND HOW TO GO
Hurghada is easy to reach because it has an airport. You can also travel to Cairo International Airport and then take the motorway.
Here the low season does not exist because the weather is always good.
