In the south of Ankara, is the city of Fethiye in Mugla province. It is a small village built on the ruins of Telmesco, from which some ruins remain, like the old Greek Theatre. It is an ancient city which has become an amazing attraction both for tourists and locals.
Its beaches, which are the best beaches in Turkey, attract thousands of tourists who come all the year round. You can visit Pastara , with excellent tourist facilities, or Oludeniz, about 4 kilometres far and Calis.

Accommodation possibilities range from big luxury hotels to very cheap hostels.
You can visit the museum, where you will appreciate a great number of fascinating objects to tell the story of the various ancient civilizations that lived in Fethiye. Tourists enjoy visiting the tombs, particularly Amyntas Tomb. You can also taste the famous Turkish foods or have a drink in one of the various pubs nearby.
In Simena there is an old amphitheatre which is famous because it can only hold 400 people.
WHEN AND HOW TO GO - WEATHER AND TRANSPORTATION
You can travel by plane to Antalya and then take a bus or hire a car for an hour-drive to the city. The climate offers very hot and dry summers but the winters are cold and wet.
