Cape Town is situated in the Western Cape, and is the legislative capital of South Africa, famous for its port and considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and the major tourist destination in South Africa.

Its beaches are bathed by the Atlantic Ocean and have received the Blue Flag for their excellence. You may choose the beach you like best among the great variety you will find: there are calm water beaches and those with big waves too, cold or warm water beaches, but all of them have incredibly crystal water and are large and beautiful, good for the practice of watersports like surfing.

Where to stay and what to do - Hotels & Activities

There is a great variety of hotels and all kinds of apartments to suit your needs. Apart from surfing, you can go kitesurfing and diving to discover the reefs, as well as walk on the white sand or sunbathe lying on the beach.

Camps Bay and Clifton beaches are very crowded, Fourth Beach is the most fashionable and ideal for young people who want to break hearts. Camps Bay beaches offer excellent facilities with fabulous restaurants and bars. Clifton Beach comprises four beaches which you can reach via Victoria road and also offer very good tourist facilities.

If you prefer being far from the centre you must choose LLandudno and Hout Bay beaches. You arrive in the former by a road which ends at granite blocks which protect it and give it privacy. If you like nudist beaches, here you will be happy, as there are areas with nudist clubs offering excellent infrastructure.

Visiting Robben Island is another attraction; it is just 12 km far and it used to be a fortress where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned, now it has been transformed into a museum. Other places of interest are The Cape of Good Hope, the Botanical Gardens and Table Mountain.

Cape Town has a very important international airport which is the second South African Airport. The climate is Mediterranean, from May to August the winter is very cold, and from November to February you can enjoy a warm and dry summer with an average temperature of 26ºC.
