Brazil Beaches

Brazil

Brazil is probably the most famous seaside destination both in South America and in the rest of the world. This is because of the most important Brazilian event, the Carnival, which is considered to be the greatest popular festival in the world.

That is why, in February, the striking beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema, Barra da Tijuca and many others are crowded with both Brazilian and foreign visitors, who delight in the beauty of the Brazilian coast during the day, while they are waiting for the night samba parade.

But the Brazilian beaches are not only in Río de Janeiro, in fact, many people think they are not the best beaches and they believe the best beaches are in the north, in Bahia. There, the beach is part of local people´s lives: reataurants, hotels, shops develop linked to the beach for a simple reason: the temperature in Bahia is perfect all the year, and the state has lots of fabulous beaches: Porto Seguro, Arraial de Ajuda, Trancoso, Costa do Sauipe, Praia do Espelho, Praia do Forte, etc.

But it is not only that. The beach is the centre around which all the other services gravitate, including various activities on the beach like football, volleyball, gym, surfing, windsurfing, capoeira, etc.

Apart from Bahia, there are other states with attractive beaches, among which we can mention Santa Catarina with its classical destination Florianópolis and the nearby Ferrugem and Praia da Rosa.

Added to this, we cannot forget the well-known happiness of the Brazilian people, their hospitality and sense of humour, which make Brazil a unique destination offering transparent water, white sand and warm weather all the year.
