It is situated in the Aegean Sea in the Bodrum Penninsula, 250 km from Izmir and opposite the Greek island of Cos. It has a marina from where many boats leave for the Greek islands. It is a picturesque tourist town, surrounded by palm trees and white houses. Ortakent beach is one of the most popular of the Turkish beaches.
Turgutreis beach is ideal for surfing lovers. All these beaches have crystal water which invite you to swim and dive. You can find diving instructors from the many diving centres in the area.

Bodrum invites you to practise watersports like windsurfing, waterski and jetski.
You cannot miss the ancient city of Efeso and Apollo Temple, as well as the Mausoleum and Saint Peterīs castle. You will appreciate the mixture of old and modern styles. Shopping is very enjoyable both at the market and the bazaar, where they offer a variety of products at reasonable prices.
Bodrum has a busy nightlife: you can go sightseeing and dancing, or meet friends for a drink or have dinner and listen to live music and many other things you can imagine.
WHEN AND HOW TO GO - WEATHER AND TRANSPORTATION
You can fly to Istambul or to Ankara airport, and then take another plane to Bodrum Airport. Or you can travel on a cruise ship to the bay. Spring and autumn are rainy seasons and the summers are dry and hot.
