This beach is preferred by tourists who look for quiet and relaxed holidays with their families, admiring beautiful landscapes and enjoying calm and mild water, a refreshing breeze and lots of amusement. All these characteristics make of it one of the best beaches in Venezuela. We can also go to other beaches in Aragua, such as Puerto Maya, Ensenada de Chuao, La Ciénaga or Ensenada San Andrés, where we can arrive only by ship or guided visits across Parque Henry Pittier.
Hotels & Activities
There are no first class hotels at the bay, but we can find a lot of very economical inns andlodgings which count with all the necessary comfort and where we can enjoy exquisite dishes with the popular garlic croutons. They also have parking, pools, Jacuzzi and organized activities.
Of course, one major attraction here is the sea that will allow water sports like diving, surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, fishing, etc. There are also many places where they can teach you to tame the waves and become a great surfer. At Bahía de Cata Beach there is a skate track which is one of the great attractions for children.
There are many entertainments to make us spend a good day; sailing, real amusement in the classic bananas, plays at the beach such as volleyball, football, or dancing at the rhythm of the traditional marimbas at the same beach.
If we hire a nice boat, we can enjoy a little trip to the inlet of Chuao, a small village where its inhabitants grow cacao. There, we cannot fail to visit the monumental Cruz Del Perdón and the church. If we are looking for a youthful environment, we must go to La Cuyagua, In this beach, there are immense waves; so, it is chosen by young students of the University who love surf and look for intensely amused nights.

There is only one way of access by land from the airport of Caracas, where international flies arrive. We can enjoy this beach during the whole year, because the average temperature is 30º.
