Nudity in Argentina is not a concept as developed as in European countries. Even compared with its neighbor, nude beaches of Brazil offer a range of options much more diverse in quantity and quality. However, recently the movement has had a major evolution that has led to the granting of the second nude beach in Argentina.
The most famous nudist beach in Argentina is Playa Escondida, just an hour away from Mar del Plata and a few minutes from Pinamar. It's a very rough sea, the waters of the Atlantic Oceant horizon, but it has basic services to spend a day there. An important detail is that nudity is not obligatory there as it is a public place.
After extensive research on the beaches of Argentina, in 2008 Argentina was allocated a new nudist beach: Playa Querandi, in Villa Gesell, very beautiful and wild, with few housing options there, so normally people stay in Villa Gesell and visit during the day.
As for the concepts outlined by the various nudist associations in Argentina, these follow the general guidelines of international naturism: harmony with the body, peace with nature and enjoy the beaches at their best.
